Cases over Coffee : IVUS Guided Bifurcation PCI with ACIST HDi

ACIST WEBINAR – Cases over Coffee : IVUS Guided Bifurcation PCI with ACIST HDi

In this edition of Cases over Coffee, we invite you to delve into the recently released video featuring Prof Joost Daemen (Erasmus MC, the Netherlands): “IVUS Guided Bifurcation PCI with ACIST HDi.”

Our Clinical Program and Training Manager, Olivera Kotevska, will lead this interactive session, offering insights into key aspects of the video, including:

  • The potential limitations and prognostic impact of angiography in presenting crucial anatomical patient information
  • Principles of imaging and the role of HD intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) in lesion assessment and stent placement
  • Features of HDi IVUS
  • Planning strategies related to IVUS-guided measurements in Bifurcation PCI
  • The significance of accurate lesion assessment and optimal stent placement in achieving successful outcomes for patients undergoing PCI procedures
  • Advantages of pre- and post-PCI IVUS measurements
  • Optimal MSA (Minimal Stent Area) after PCI

Cases over Coffee : Intravascular Imaging in modern PCI

ACIST WEBINAR – Cases over Coffee : Intravascular Imaging in modern PCI, a case study from Germany

In this webinar we will review a recent case study video with Prof. Dr. Christoph Hammerstingl and Dr. med Alexander Völz from Eduardus Krankenhaus in Cologne, Germany.

Topic

Routine use of intravascular imaging improves clinical outcomes of patients undergoing PCI. It delivers critical anatomical information pre-and post-stenting, enabling high-precision interventional therapy.

Procedural guidance with intravascular imaging should not only be used for complex PCI but become standard of care.

Key learning Objectives

  • To learn about the advantages of IVUS vs. OCT
  • To learn how angiography potentially hides crucial anatomical information in your patient with potential prognostic impact.
  • To get to know new features of HD-IVUS such as co-registration with angiography.
  • To be able to plan your interventional strategy according to IVUS-guided measurements.

Cases over Coffee

Cases over Coffee, session 2: From Angio to IVUS

Join our next Cases over Coffee session with the title “From Angio to IVUS”.

The session will be held on Wednesday, April 26th  3-4 pm CEST  and will cover the use of intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease.

During this session, we will

  • Discuss the indications for HDi IVUS based on an Angiogram and how to interpret HDi IVUS images
  • Review a case study that demonstrate the use of HDi IVUS in guiding percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) procedures and in optimizing stent placement

This training session is ideal for all who want to learn about the clinical and practical use of IVUS and/ or refresh their knowledge.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact our Clinical Program & Training Manager Olivera Kotevska at +49 1726890952 or olivera.kotevska@bracco.com

Cases over Coffee – Session 3

Techniques to Optimize Contrast Use in Complex Cases

We invite you to join our next Cases over Coffee session with the title “Techniques to Optimize Contrast Use in Complex Cases“.

The session will be held on Wednesday, June 28th, from 3-4 pm CEST and will demonstrate techniques to optimize contrast use in left- and right-heart catheterization, including the treatment of in-stent stenosis in a patient with impaired kidney function.

During this session, we will:

  • Discuss the risks of contrast-induced acute kidney injuries (CI-AKI) and the necessity of contrast-optimized procedures.
  • Review a real patient case study that demonstrates the need and how to use contrast-optimizing techniques.

This training session is useful if you would like to learn more about CI-AKI and its impact on patients health, and if you would like to deepen your knowledge about techniques to identify options to reduce contrast, including the techniques to actually reduce contrast.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at acistmarketing@bracco.com

Cases over Coffee – Session 4

Zero-Contrast PCI using HD IVUS and Physiological Guidance

Dear Colleagues and Partners,

We cordially invite you to join our next Cases over Coffee session with the title “Zero-Contrast PCI Using HD IVUS and Physiological Guidance”

The session will be held on Wednesday, 26 July, from 15:00 to 16:00 (CET)

During this, we will explore the innovative approach of performing zero-contrast percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using advanced medical technologies and best practices.

We will be studying a video by esteemed faculty Drs Joost Daemen, Ziad Ali & Allen Jeremias as they demonstrate the utilization of the HDi® HD IVUS system and Kodama catheter, along with the RXi® system and Navvus®II microcatheter, to perform a zero-contrast PCI.

  • Innovative approach of performing zero-contrast percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using HDi, RXi and CVi
  • How this can help, especially in a patient with renal failure and low GFR
  • Complex case with complications and how HDi and RXi helped to solve a complication
