Cases over Coffee – Session 4

Zero-Contrast PCI using HD IVUS and Physiological Guidance

Dear Colleagues and Partners,

We cordially invite you to join our next Cases over Coffee session with the title “Zero-Contrast PCI Using HD IVUS and Physiological Guidance”

The session will be held on Wednesday, 26 July, from 15:00 to 16:00 (CET)

During this, we will explore the innovative approach of performing zero-contrast percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using advanced medical technologies and best practices.

We will be studying a video by esteemed faculty Drs Joost Daemen, Ziad Ali & Allen Jeremias as they demonstrate the utilization of the HDi® HD IVUS system and Kodama catheter, along with the RXi® system and Navvus®II microcatheter, to perform a zero-contrast PCI.

  • Innovative approach of performing zero-contrast percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) using HDi, RXi and CVi
  • How this can help, especially in a patient with renal failure and low GFR
  • Complex case with complications and how HDi and RXi helped to solve a complication

Get the Complete Picture: DMC Heart Hospital with Dr Chadi Alraies

Today begins a new chapter in the marketing of the CVi value story!

We are happy to inform you that with the Get the Complete Picture video series, you now have a qualitative, experience-based resource for you all to bring the amazing work you’re doing to life.

The Get the Complete Picture video series is meant to turn the focus entirely on our customers so that they can share their stories and their experiences of working with the CVi and truly bring the Vital Signs process to life. We know for a fact that peer-to-peer “marketing” and conversations are much stickier and create more of a connection than any brochure or digital banner ad can. Thus, the Get the Complete Picture video series was born.

The inaugural episode features the team at DMC Heart Hospital out of Detroit. Dr Alraies and his team have had CVi systems in their hospital for years, and they realized (through persistent conversations with our US sales colleagues) that they had largely forgotten about them. As of earlier this summer, they now have 2 of their devices in Cath labs, full-time, and are working on standardizing the use of the CVi across all labs, with all providers, for all procedures. In the full video and accompanying teaser clips, Dr Alraies, his Cath lab Manager Jason, and resident tech expert Raegan, all share how the CVi makes a difference for them and their patients .. and wouldn’t you know it, they hit on all three pillars of our value story (workflow/efficiency, economic value, and quality metrics).

DAIC Webinar: Improving Patient Outcomes and Reducing Contrast Utilization in the Cath Lab

This webinar features US-based Drs Doshi and Khuddus and went live at the end of June. The Drs will walk through the use of CVi and HDi to manage contrast usage and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

While angiography remains the technology of choice, there are best practices to help manage contrast dose and waste, and there are other technologies like intracoronary imaging (IVUS) that should become more routine. The conversation around this multi-modality approach continues to grow, and we’re grateful to have such KOLs amplifying this message using our products as the devices of choice.
